In the current challenging environment it is good to look at what you can achieve if you look beyond the short-term noise.  Back in 2010 we set out two ‘Trade of the Decade’ ideas.  Here is an update on the first of those: India.  
 
The Numbers
Since Jan 2010, our chosen fund – Jupiter India – is up 122%.
That is wide margin bigger than the FTSE 100 share index of 78%.
 
Reform Unlocks Potential
India has a strong government committed to reform.  This contrasts with the political uncertainty in the UK, US and much of Europe.  In March 2017 there was another crushing electoral victory in the country’s most populous State, Uttar Pradesh, which will give the government the confidence it needs for a raft of new reforms – labour, agricultural and banking.
 
India has an unbeatable combination of youth and reform potential that will drive superior returns for many years to come.
