What’s Hot

  • A duo of thematic sectors, Healthcare and Infrastructure. Relatively small sectors –

just 15 and 16 funds (greater than £50m) respectively.

  • Following declines in three successive months, Latin America is up nearly 4%.
  • UK Smaller Companies have bounced back from a dip in November.
  • Global Equity Income makes up the remaining top place, up 3.94%.

What’s Not

  • The greater likelihood of earlier interest rate rises has hurt bonds.
  • A pair of European bond sectors feature.
  • The two UK Gilts sectors have tailed off after some gains in October and November, most notably UK Index Linked Gilts sector which is down 5.76%.
  • China has had a tough month but also a tough year, down more than 3% over the former and down 15% over the latter.
